We are excited to sign up our first collection point operator in our zone for Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic).

Nanny Jan's Emporium, in the north east Victorian town of Eildon, sells haberdashery, craft supplies, gifts and plants. It will act as a drop off point for the community, and the many tourists who visit the town, to earn a 10-cent refund for every eligible can, carton and bottle they return.

Mark Howard, a local real estate agent who helped Nanny Jan’s sign up, said this partnership will reinforce and enhance the district as a clean and sustainable place to live, work and play.

“We are thrilled to be the first to sign up to the Visy Victorian Container Deposit Scheme. Our pristine North East Victorian town is the gateway to Lake Eildon’s Tourist mecca and the Goulburn River which supplies a quarter of Victoria’s irrigation water.

“Many thanks to Jack and the team at Visy who also embraced our vision for the future.”

Since we were announced as a network operator for CDS Vic in April, we have been taking enquiries for local businesses and not for profits to act as collection point operators in our region.
