Visy Recycling does not own or operate landfills. We focus on sourcing fibre for our paper mills. We’re always looking for cost effective and sustainable ways to recover recyclable materials and diverting them from landfill.

Our education programs assist with choosing the most suitable vessel for the site and ensuring the optimised service frequency. Visy wants to collect its customer’s bin when it is full with recyclable material to maximise the recovery and minimise the cost.

Close the loop – what does that mean?

Visy Recycling collects cardboard and paper from commercial businesses across the country.

This material is then used internally to feed our paper mills and the end result of this is producing recycled paper. Visy produces approximately 2,000 cardboard grades ranging in recycled fibre content from zero (100% externally purchased kraft paper) to 100% from our own mills. This closed loop process creates Australian manufacturing jobs.

The process starts all over again when you recycle with Visy. We collect the material, recycle it and remanufacture it into a new product. It keeps coming back every time and reduces landfill.

E Visy

e-Visy is a secure portal that has been developed for its customers which enables them to logon, book collections or access tonnage reports. Reports can be printed off to show how much your business has recycled and the corresponding positive environmental savings.
