Visy was invited to attend a National Press Club function which was a rare opportunity to gain insights into the future of global food and agriculture, food safety, R&D and investment.

Visy was invited to attend a National Press Club function where leading authority on international food and agriculture, Dr Aalt Dijkhuizen was the guest speaker on behalf of the Gardiner Dairy Foundation.

Dr Dijkhuizen is an industry leader with extensive international agribusiness experience. For over a decade he was President and Chairman of Wageningen University and Research Centre - the most prestigious Agricultural University in the world.

It was a rare opportunity to gain insights into the future of global food and agriculture, food safety, R&D and investment.

Dr Aalt Dijkuizen noted that The Netherlands have a strong “Tri-Party” working group across academia, industry and agriculture where collaboration and workings towards the common good was paramount.

Visy's support & interest in global matters such as food security is illustrated by our current R&D program where a number of initiatives are being developed with university research and industry know-how. ThermoTrac was born from a need to reduce food wastage and has developed into a packaging product that reduces food losses through more even cooling throughout the supply chain.
